You do not need a gym membership or sacrifice a great amount of your time in order to become bootylicious. Just be determined and consistent. Eat well and do at least three of these exercises EVERYDAY, for just 30 - 60 minutes a day, and I guarantee you will feel the difference within a few weeks. Dumbbell Squat
This weight training exercise is going to give your butt a round, firm look. In other words, it helps you develop your gluteal muscles. And by building muscle, you are increasing your metabolic rate, which accordingly gives you the benefit of fat burning.
- Stand with feet hip-width apart and squat with abs in and knees behind your toes.
- Squeeze butt to stand up straight.
- Repeat for 2-3 sets of 8-12 reps.
- Add weights for more intensity.
- If you do not have dumbbells and do not want to buy them, you may use soda bottles instead. Just don't drop them on your toes :)

Pilates Hip Lift
- Lie on your back with your calves resting on the ball.
- Bend your knees and keep your legs together.
- Exhale and roll your bottom and lower back off the mat very slowly until your legs are straight and your body is in a straight line.
- Inhale and stay in this position for about 5 seconds. Squeeze your butt and the back of your legs.
- Exhale and roll back to your starting position.
- Repeat 10 times.

Kick-Butt Yoga
This easy yoga pose, I believe, should not be too difficult for people with average flexibility. It does not only firm up your hips and thighs, but also improves your posture.
- Stand with your feet together, toes forward, and arms at sides.
- Step your right leg back into a lunge (left knee bent about 90 degrees).
- Inhale and raise your arms over your head with your fingers pointing toward the ceiling.
- Hold for about 10 seconds, then return to standing and repeat, stepping left leg back.

That JLo photo is soooo photoshopped! for me, i got my best booty without sqauts, using bubbles padded panties. If you're not born with anything back there, biking, yoga, squats, eating....just doesn't do enough to make a difference. I tried it all! the lowrise padded boyshorts from bubbles bodywear is the best solution I've tried!

Who says guys dont care about their butts? I am 26 m and am just crazy about the perfection of my butt. All my gymming activities are centred on my gluteal trainings. I like keeping it big and shaped.
Over the years, my butt has flattened out considerably. I'll have to try some of these exercises...someday...:)

Ok i agree abour Jessica Simpson but Beyonce,Jeniffer Lopez and Vida Guerra probably have the biggest celebrity buts...i don't really agree that bigger is better...
That's now the way we think in Europe :P. We prefer small and tight if you like.It doiesn't matter how firm an ass is if it's big...i'm just not used to your way of thinking and maybe thats part of our disagreement :)
I think we can all agree here that a round firm butt is a what matters. So many women these days have no butt and big love handles due to inactivity! No glute muscles and more fat equals a bad butt!

Good article. The only exercise I get is a daily fifteen minute walk. I do not know much about exercising. Is my walk good enough to keep my wait down and benefit my heart?

No matter what, I can never make my big butt small(so guess I can't go to Europe) but I just love the inspirational photos whether they were photoshopped or not. It always gets me thriving for better. All that matters is that is in shape, lifted and tight, whether it be big or small, cuz no one wants it saggy or loose!

Ha! Great article. Great tips on how to get that booty looking it's best, but for those who enjoy the eye candy, the pics are fun too. I've been doing the p90x for about a month now and I have to agree yoga is actually a great way frim up the buns. Not to mention cardio, and of course squats.
